What this is

Builder Passport is a verified identity, project showcase, and discovery directory for software builders. Evidence shown on a Passport comes from providers you connect (GitHub, domain DNS, App Store, and others) — we surface what those providers report, we do not independently audit it.

Your claims stay yours

A “verified” badge means we confirmed a specific fact through a provider's API or a DNS record at a point in time, not an endorsement, and not a guarantee the fact remains true forever. Verifications can expire or be revoked; where that happens, history is preserved but current badges are removed.

Acceptable use

• Do not claim ownership of a project, domain, or account you do not control.
• Do not use Launch Week voting in a way designed to manipulate rank — see the ranking policy below.
• Do not attempt to bypass verification checks or misrepresent evidence.

Impersonation or false claims can be reported from any Passport, and we may suspend or remove a Passport found to violate this.

Ranking is never for sale

Leaderboards, Launch Week standings, and search results are computed from verifiable signals — votes from verified builders, evidence scores, publish dates. No payment of any kind changes a builder's or project's position in a ranking. Paid placements (Spotlight, Sponsor) are shown in a separately labelled slot and never write to ranking data.

Billing

Paid plans are billed through Stripe. Cancelling stops renewal at the end of the period you already paid for; it does not retroactively refund that period unless required by law. A failed payment does not immediately remove your Passport or verifications — only Pro-only presentation features lapse, after a grace period.

Account termination

You may delete your account at any time from account settings. We may suspend an account for a confirmed terms violation; where reasonably possible we will explain why.

No warranty

The service is provided as-is. We work to keep verification accurate and Passports available, but we do not guarantee uninterrupted access or that every piece of provider-sourced evidence is current at the moment you view it.
